How to create secure password?

In day-to-day life we do various online activities where passwords are used that may be social networking, online shopping, e-mail or money transfer or even your desktop password etc. So most of us what do, they use common password for all online services so that they can easily remember them. We people also use easy to guess password like birth dates, name , mobile nos. , license no., etc. These passwords known as weak passwords and are easy to guess which lets to compromised account in future.

Password is the first thing which stops third person accessing your account and if not created securely it can let to heavy data loss or misuse of your account. In your life some of you or your friend may suffered due use of weak password because there account got compromised by some one.

Let me first tell you how to safe your password and make your account secure.

• Password can be observed when you enter it in some public place to get access to your account so look nearby you that nobody is having eye on you and if you are in public place with people around you try to hide keys while entering with your other hand or some notebook or other thing.
• Never give your password to anybody not even your closest one.
• Never write your password on paper or notes just try to remember it in your mind.
• Please use long password at least more than 8 characters so that it can not be guessable.
• While entering password online double-check url in browser bar because you may become victim of phishing.
• Use 2 step verification methods to login online like provided by GMail, Godaddy etc. In this service provider send a verification code on your mobile registered with your account. When you enter the verification number received by you on mobile then only you able to use your account.
• Avoid using easy to guess security question answers for your account. In this case one can easily guess answer of security question by just looking profile at social networking site like Facebook, if person is having account on it. Because we people don’t about us that much what we shared on Facebook. This is also known as Social Engineering and girls become more victim of this thing.
• Always use good and updated anti-virus with feature of IDS(Intrusion Detection System). I personally recommend you Bitdefender, Vipre or Kaspersky.
• For online transactions use different e-mail account and don’t share or use this account for personal communication. It must be known to you only.
• Never use dictionary word to create your password, try to create password in your local language words mixing with numbers etc.
• Keyboard sequences like “qwertyuiop” , “zxcvbnm”, “asdfghjkl”, “1234567890″ must not be used as password.
• Keep changing your password after a particular time period and have different password for different accounts.
• Avoid accessing your account on open and public network.

• At least use mixture of 8 characters(more recommended) to create secure password.

• e.g Password like “Sweet” is short and easy to guess and other thing is it is a dictionary word. So how to make it strong. We can use some special characters and numbers like “$W33T”. Now it better than previous one but still not strong because it is short, Make it lengthy.
• Password like “Ch@tt33Rb0X” is strong and it will take about 4 thousand years to crack a password by a desktop PC and “UTK!V@1tM4VRt@Y” will take 157 billion years to crack and it’s much secure password than previous one. You can also use “Space”,”!,@,#,$,%,^,&,*,(,).,<,?,/:{,}”  like special characters in your password to make it more strong if allowed by service provider.
