Samsung Finally Launches Galaxy S4 Smartphone in India at Rs.41500/-


Samsung has finally launched its latest flagship smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S4, in the country in recent times at an event held in Gurgaon. Before telling anything about it, yes, it’s the octa-core version. The smartphone will go on sale from tomorrow onwards at a striking price of Rs.41500/-. Initially, the device will be made available in the metropolitan cities including Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Another thing, besides having octa-core processor the Indian version of the smartphone comes with 16 GB onboard memory.

Samsung India has partnered with Vodafone to provide some freebies such as unlimited 3G data usage (of course with Fair Usage Policy), free 3000 minutes STD and Local calls and free 750 National and Local Messages. To finish, let’s just take a look at the features and specifications of the smartphone again. The smartphone sports a huge 5 inch capacitive touchscreen with Super AMOLED feature and remarkable display resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (full HD) (~441 ppi pixels density). And there is nothing to say about the operating system, it’s obviously the latest one, Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean, not to mention with TouchWiz UI.
Like we said, the Indian version of Galaxy SIV has the 1.6 GHz octa-core Exynos 5 processor for impeccable function of apps and games, which gets better with PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU. With highly sophisticated 13 Megapixel camera, video and image capturing gets even more interesting. Another camera, you can say the secondary camera has been placed at front, which is of 2 Megapixel. The cameras have BSI sensor and Zero Shutter lag features. The rear one is capable of recording Full HD videos and comes accompanied by a LED flash.
In terms of memory, it has 2 GB of DDR3 RAM, 16 GB of internal memory and microSD expansion (up to 64 GB). And for connectivity there are lots of options including 4G LTE, 3G, 2G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, WiFi Direct, WiFi hotspot, aGPS, MHL, DLNA,NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, IR LED, microUSB etc. The smartphone is 7.9 mm thick and weighs around 130 grams. A battery of 2600 mAh is there to make it run.
