Earlier this month, we posted about a 3D smartphone from Micromax called ‘Micromax A115 Canvas 3D’, whose images were surfaced as well and today Micromax announced its launch officially. The smartphone is priced at Rs.9999/- and will be available from the first week of the next month. The mentioned price is its Maximum Retail Price (MRP). Like we said it is a 3D smartphone, but having said that, you don’t need 3D glasses to watch the 3D contents as it uses stereoscopic 3D technology. It will be available in White and Black color options.
Being 3D capable, the smartphone also features dual SIM (GSM + GSM) connectivity with dual standby feature. It sports a 5 inch capacitive touchscreen. The smartphone encompasses a dual core processor clocking at 1 GHz. It runs on Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. At rear, there is a 5 Megapixel camera with LED flash while at front there is a VGA (0.3 Megapixel) camera. However, these cameras are not capable of capturing 3D images and videos.
Currently, there are no details about the either the internal storage capacity or the RAM. But we do know, it will have a microSD card slot for expansion and the maximum capacity is up to 32 GB. It comes with usual connectivity features such as 3G, Bluetooth v4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS etc. The Canvas 3D is powered by a 2000 mAh battery that provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time.
Even if you can’t capture 3D images directly, you can convert the normal images into 3D. And as for 3D videos there is ‘Micromax 3D Space’ that not only offers 3D videos but also 3D games.
