Recently, Asus made its first Intel-powered tablet called Asus FonePad available in the country for Rs.15999/-. And guess what, another product of this manufacturer has now been made available on Google Play marketplace by Google itself. Last month, the 16 GB variant of Asus-made Google Nexus 7 tablet was made available on the Indian Google Play store. And now after a month, 32 GB variant of the same tablet has been made available on Google Play, which carries a price tag of Rs.18999/-. Make a note that this is the WiFi only version of the tablet and the 3G version is yet to be available on Google Play.
Both the 3G and WiFi version of Google Nexus 7 was announced earlier this month and the 3G version costs Rs.3000/- more than the WiFi version, to be exact, Rs.21999/-. The tablet Nexus 7 was originally announced in the month of June last year at the event Google I/O.
The tablet sports a 7 inch HD IPS back-lit display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution (~216 ppi pixels density). The screen is protected by anti-scratch Corning glass. It runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS and has a NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-core processor clocking at 1.3 GHz along with 12-core NVIDIA GeForce GPU. There is a 1.2 Megapixel camera at front with capability to record HD videos of 720p.
Like we said, the smartphone comes with 32 GB internal storage capacity and the user memory would probably be less. In addition, it also has 1 GB of RAM. Except WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, there are several other options including Bluetooth, NFC, microUSB etc. It is powered by a 4325 mAh battery and its dimensions are 198.5 x 120 x 10.45 mm and its weight is around 340 grams. It also comes preloaded with Google Wallet app.
