It’s been about more than a month since theSamsung Galaxy Note 510 [GT-N5100ZWA] was announced in the country. And recently, Samsung India, on its official e-store listed the device for preorder carrying a price-tag of Rs.30,900/-. The exact availability date is yet to be known. The customers prebooking the device will get a book cover worth Rs.2699/- absolutely free. Actually, the tablet was originally announced at the MWC event as Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0. The tablet is nothing but a bigger and a bit more powerful version of Samsung Galaxy Note II. However, take a look at the key features and specifications of Samsung Galaxy Note 510 below.
The tablet features an 8 inch TFT LCD WXGA capacitive touchscreen with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution (~189 ppi pixels density). The tablet runs on Android v4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. It has an Exynos 4412 quad-core CPU with XMM 6262 processor having maximum clock speed at 1.6 GHz. It comes with a 5 Megapixel rear camera and there is also a 1.3 Megapixel front-facing camera.
The Indian version of Galaxy Note 510 comes with 16 GB onboard memory, 2 GB of RAM and a microSD card slot for further expansion up to 64 GB. It seems that there will be two versions of the tablet i.e. WiFi only and 3G. And some other connectivity options of the tablet include GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth v4.0, A GPS (3G), S-GPS (WiFi only version) with GLONASS, USB v2.0, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n and WiFi Direct.
And as always, Note comes with Samsung S Pen that accompanied by the usual set of apps specially optimized for it. However, here’s what new, the Pen could now work on the capacitive buttons as well. In addition to Jelly Bean, the tablet will come equipped with Samsung’s TouchWiz/ Nature UX interface. The body of the device consists of plastic and wears polished covering having curved edges.
As other Samsung products, this one too comes with Chat ON messenger preinstalled. It measures 135.9 x 210.8 x 7.95 mm (H x W x D) weighing about 345 grams. It is powered by a Standard battery of 4600 mAh capacity and its back panel is irremovable.
