Honda CB Trigger (AKA CB150R) launched in India


Honda Motors and Scooters India has launched CB Trigger also known as CB150R in India. Honda CB Trigger is India version with Air Cooled Engine of International version of Honda StreetFire CB150R. Honda is trying hard to capture market in150cc segment in India and eyeing to be leader in 2 wheelers in 2020. Currently 150cc segment is lead by Bajaj Pulsar 150 DTSi. Honda CB Trigger is just replacement to CB Dazzler and just similar to it with few changes and sharp design.

Honda CB Trigger comes with improved braking system and Honda offers CBS(Combi Brake System) System on this bike but it is optional. It is similar brake system Honda offers in its automatic scooter Honda Activa. This type of braking system helps both brakes activated when rear brake is applied with foot. Honda CB Trigger Braking system features 240mm front disc brake and 220mm rear disc brake. Built on Advanced Design Diamond Frame Chassis, front suspension are handled by telescopic forks whereas rear it has monosuspension. Both Tyres in Honda CB Trigger are Tubeless.
Honda CB Trigger booking will open from April 2013 and expected to start delivering from May,2013. HMSI(Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India) targets to sell 1 lakh units of Honda CB Trigger this fiscal year. Coming to specifications Honda CB Trigger features 4 Stroke Air Cooled 149.1cc SI Engine capable of giving 14bhp @8500rpm and 12.5Nm torque @ 6500 rpm. Honda has used Viscous Air filter in CB Trigger which is better than conventional Air filter and requires replacement only after 16,000kms. Honda says CB Trigger is fuel-efficient and gives average of 60kmpl under controlled conditions which may vary. It comes with 5 speed gear box with gear pattern of 1 down and 4 up. Honda CB Trigger has 6 Spoke Alloy Wheels , 12 ltrs Mascular Fuel tank, LED Tail lamps, digital console with Odometer,  Speedometer, Tachometer, clock etc. and will be in three colors(Black, Meteor Green Mettalic, Pearl Siena Red) and three variants. It expected to be priced near Rs. 70-80k.
