HTC One Vs Samsung Galaxy S4


The latest flagship smart phone of Samsung, the Galaxy S4 is here with some groundbreaking features, but how does it compare with the popular HTC One. The Samsung Galaxy S3 was the game changing smart phone last year, but will the Galaxy S4 be able to do something similar? The HTC One was also one of the best smartphones of 2012. Design
Once the smartphones of Samsung were accused of looking much like iPhone, but between HTC One and Galaxy S4 it’s the HTC One that looks more like an . The HTC One features a square design but with a curved back and rounded corners. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S4 looks much like the Galaxy S3 with rounded pebble like design.
The HTC One uses a combination of aluminum and glass while the Galaxy S4 is predominantly a plastic build. The Galaxy S4 features a removable rear cover and the HTC One has a unique body design. Display
The 5-inch display of the Galaxy S4 comes with a Full HD 1080×1920 resolution. The HTC’s smart phone also features a Full HD resolution but the screen size is only 4.7-inch. The pixel density of HTC One is higher at 469ppi against the 441ppi of Galaxy S4. HTC uses Super LCD3 display while the Samsung employs Super AMOLED display technology. And it is said that the Gorilla Glass 3 used in the Galaxy S4 is 3 times more damage resistant compared to the Gorilla Glass 2 which is found on the HTC One.
Processor
The HTC One is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz and 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S4 comes with two models of processor, one with an Octa-core processor and other with Snapdragon 600 chip. The Snapdragon 600 chip is clocked at 1.9GHz and there is 2GB RAM. So, we can say that the Galaxy S4 is slightly powerful than the HTC One. Both of these devices have Adreno 320 GPU.
Storage
The HTC One comes in two models, 32GB and 64GB of storage capacities, where the Galaxy S4 comes in three different models, 64GB, 32GB and 16GB capacities. The Galaxy S4 also features a micro SD card slot which is not present in the HTC’s smart phone.

Cameras
The 4MP Ultrapixel camera of HTC One can capture 300% more light compared to the camera of regular smart phone. This camera is also good in low light conditions. Meanwhile, a powerful camera of 13MP is packed in the Galaxy S4. Rear-facing cameras in both devices can record the Full HD video with 1080p quality. When it comes to the front-facing cameras, the HTC One and the Galaxy S4 have 2.1MP and 2MP cameras respectively. They are also capable of recording Full HD video.
Battery
The Galaxy S4 has the higher capacity battery of 2600mAh compared to the 2300mAh battery of HTC One. Battery is removable in Galaxy S4 while it is non-removable in the HTC One.
