According to the sources close to Lava Mobiles, the company is gearing itself up to launch its and the country’s first Tablet to run on Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Moreover, it is also said that the price of the tablet will be under Rs.10,000/-. So as you can see, the tablet is sort of affordable and expected to succeed like Lava Etab Xtron, one of its predecessors. Although it is affordable yet its features and specifications are somewhat decent, take a look at them below.
Just like the Xtron, this tablet will come under the Etab series of tablets. And the name of the tablet is yet to be disclosed publicly. However, it will have a 7 inch capacitive touchscreen but it’s not confirmed yet. Like we said it would be running on the latest operating system i.e. Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It will have a dual core processor clocking at 1.5 GHz equipped with 1 GB RAM. It’s a dual camera that boasting a 2 Megapixel camera at rear and a VGA camera at front.
It will have up to 8 GB of internal storage capacity and a microSD card slot for expansion (up to 32 GB). Another thing, the tablet wouldn’t have a SIM card slot, so you can’t make a call using it. However, there are other connectivity options including 3G (via USB dongle), WiFi, 3.5 mm audio jack and microUSB. You can also connect the tablet with TV, as there is a HDMI port. The tablet would be powered by a 3700 mAh battery.

As mentioned above, the price of the tablet is said to be under Rs.10000/-. Currently, there are quite a few tablets are available under Rs.10,000/- such as Asus Memo Pad, Karbonn Smart Tab 10,Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 etc. But obviously they don’t come with Android v4.2 Jelly Bean onboard.
